We stand behind every product we sell. If something isn't right, we'll work with you to make it right — here's everything you need to know.

30-Day Returns

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery, no complicated hoops to jump through. If you've changed your mind, received the wrong item, or something arrived damaged, just reach out and we'll walk you through it.

To start a return, email us at info@workshoptheory.com with your order number and we'll take it from there.

Restocking Fees

We don't charge restocking fees — ever. If you need to return something, you shouldn't be penalized for it.

Return Shipping

Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect — in those cases we cover everything including return shipping.

For heavy freight items such as workbenches and large tool cabinets, return shipping must be arranged via freight carrier. Because of the size and weight of these items, freight return costs can be significant — we recommend contacting us before initiating a return so we can help you find the most cost-effective solution.

Item Condition

Returned items must be in "like new" condition — unused, with all original packaging and accessories included. Like new means exactly that: no signs of use, wear, or damage. Items that have been used or show visible wear unfortunately won't be accepted.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If something looks off:

Note the damage when signing for delivery, or refuse the shipment if it's clearly damaged.

If you've already accepted delivery, photograph the damage and email it to info@workshoptheory.com on the same day it arrives.

Hold onto all original packaging — we'll need it for the return or claim process.

All returns must be authorized by us before being sent back. Items damaged through use after delivery are not eligible for return unless covered under a manufacturer warranty.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll send you a confirmation email and process your refund. From there, please allow 5 to 10 business days for the refund to appear in your bank account. Depending on your payment provider, it can occasionally take up to 14 business days.

You may see your refund marked as "Pending" for up to 2 business days while the funds are processing on your bank's end — this is completely normal.

If you're past the 14-day window and still haven't seen anything, reach out and we'll look into it.

All timeframes are in business days — Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and public holidays.

Cancellations

Need to cancel? Contact us as soon as possible.

Canceled before shipment — full refund, no questions asked.

Canceled after shipment — treated as a return, and standard return shipping costs apply.

Return Address

Once your return request has been reviewed and approved, we'll send you the return shipping address along with your authorization confirmation. Please do not send any items back before receiving this information, as returns sent without prior authorization may not be processed.

A Few Extra Things to Know:

Some brands or products may have specific return restrictions.

Certified pre-owned or used items are not eligible for return.

Items purchased for temporary use, trade shows, events, or promotional purposes are not eligible for return under any circumstances.
